National Cathedral, Washington DC 7.27.2013

The Bishop's Garden at the National Cathedral was damaged when a crane toppled over it in September 2011. I wanted to see one of Washington's favourite gardens since it was a bright sunny day today.  Check out the Snapshot photos that I took.

Washington Monument, Washington DC 7.26.2013

After weeks of researching and debating, I just got myself a Leica D-Lux6. It's a point and shoot camera.  By no means am I a photographer so I didn't want to start learning on a DSLR.  But Jeff and I have an upcoming trip to Europe and I wanted more out of photos that my trustee ol' iPhone can't provide. I'm at the beginning pages of my guide written by Alexander S. White, so I'm still fumbling through my new gadget.  I took this photo out of excitement to use my Leica.  Blessedly, I live in a city that has a lot of history with monuments left and right.  So what better way to test my new camera than to take a photo of the Washington Monument. Because of it, this year, I want to be a photographer.
